What is Counselling?
Many teenagers and adults have a misconception about counselling and therapy in that they involve an 'expert' telling the client what they should and shouldn't be doing with their life when, in fact, nothing could be further from the truth.
As a person centred counsellor, I can offer you something that is much more valuable than advice: a safe and confidential space where you can talk about your issues without fear of judgement.
The freedom to explore your thoughts and feelings and to be truly 'listened to' can be extremely beneficial when we don't have to fear the opinions or preconceptions of others.
Working with children is similar in that they are encouraged to express themselves through creative play
